1. Information we collect

Depending on how the service is used, we may process:

• Account information such as name, business name, email address, phone number and login details.
• WhatsApp Business account details, phone-number identifiers, message templates and configuration information.
• Meta connection information such as Business Portfolio ID, WhatsApp Business Account ID, Phone Number ID, display number, webhook settings and approved-template metadata.
• Access tokens and app secrets required for an authorised connection. These credentials are stored using application encryption and are used only for the connected business account.
• Customer conversations, message content, media, delivery status and related contact information sent through the WhatsApp Business Platform.
• Technical and usage information such as IP address, browser information, login activity and diagnostic logs.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the service, send and receive authorised WhatsApp messages, display and manage conversations, support users, troubleshoot technical issues, prevent abuse and comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. WhatsApp and Meta data

WatsChatOn integrates with the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta. Information processed through this integration is also subject to the applicable Meta and WhatsApp terms and policies. The business connecting a number remains responsible for its customer notices, lawful basis, opt-in and opt-out handling. We access and use connected account data only to provide features requested and authorised by that business.

4. Platform permissions and customer data

We request and use only the Meta permissions needed for the connected workspace, such as receiving messages, sending authorised messages, managing templates and reading delivery status. We do not sell WhatsApp customer data, use it to build unrelated advertising profiles or retarget people outside the requested business workflow.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with Meta/WhatsApp, infrastructure and hosting providers, and other service providers only as needed to operate WatsChatOn. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, the service or the public.

6. Data retention and security

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the service, meet contractual or legal requirements, resolve disputes and maintain security. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information. A business using WatsChatOn remains responsible for responding to requests concerning customer data it controls.

8. Data deletion requests

To request deletion of your WatsChatOn account or associated personal information, email support@watschaton.in with the subject “WatsChatOn Data Deletion Request”. Include the registered business name and account email or phone number so the request can be verified. We may retain limited information where required by law, fraud prevention, security or legitimate record-keeping obligations.

9. Children's privacy

WatsChatOn is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, services or legal requirements change. The revised date shown at the top identifies the latest version.
